Our mission
Eliminate organic waste from Australian landfills and incinerators by transforming it into high-value products — at scale, with zero secondary pollution and measurable carbon benefit.
The Australian arm of JET — a Japanese technology company with twenty years of experience and offices across Melbourne, Tokyo, and Shanghai. One mission: turning organic waste into value.
JET (Japan Environmental Technology) was founded to solve one of the world’s fastest-growing problems: organic waste. Our headquarters in Tokyo developed the Environmental Recycling System (ERS) — a patented, microbe-based vacuum fermentation process that converts organic waste into useful resources in just three hours.
After more than 20 years of commercial deployment across Japan, China and broader Asia, we brought ERS to Australia — a country generating millions of tonnes of organic waste each year, with rapidly growing demand for sustainable solutions.
JET Australia partners with food processors, agricultural operators, local governments and research institutions to verify, adapt and deploy ERS technology for Australian conditions and feedstocks.
Proven in Japan. Validated in Australia.
Processing food residuals, agricultural by-product and FOGO using our patented microbe-based ERS fermentation system.
Animal feed, fertiliser or biomass fuel — allocated by waste type and your business case.
Trommel and sieving systems separate plastic packaging from organic granulate — clean output, recyclable plastic.
A co-developed biomass boiler converts ERS-processed fuel to heat — closing the loop on waste-to-energy.

Waste is misplaced value. Every organic waste stream is an opportunity to create resources, reduce emissions, and build a circular economy.
Eliminate organic waste from Australian landfills and incinerators by transforming it into high-value products — at scale, with zero secondary pollution and measurable carbon benefit.
A future where Australian businesses and councils see organic waste not as a cost, but as feedstock to be recovered — creating new revenue streams and reducing environmental impact at the same time.
Every aspect of ERS is underpinned by peer-reviewed science. Our patented microbes were formally deposited at NITE Japan — a world first for symbiotic microbes.
We don’t sell equipment and walk away. JET Australia designs each ERS solution to your specific waste type, volume and output goals — with ongoing technical support.
Everything that enters our system has a purpose when it leaves. Animal feed, fertiliser, biomass fuel — ready for immediate use in Australian supply chains.
Through our Deakin partnership we’re rigorously measuring and publishing greenhouse-gas reduction outcomes on Australian feedstocks — so clients can report verified environmental benefits.
JET’s R&D team in Tokyo develops and patents the Environmental Recycling System, including the three symbiotic microbes registered at IPOD — a world first. Commercial deployment begins in Japan’s food and agriculture sectors.
ERS deploys across multiple Asian countries, processing diverse organic waste types — high-water-content food residuals, livestock waste, and municipal organic fractions.
JET Technology Corporation Australia is founded in Melbourne, led by Managing Director Howard Ju — bringing ERS to the Australian market and adapting it for local feedstocks and regulation.
A four-year collaboration with Deakin’s REACH Hub at Waurn Ponds. The BioFactory project converts apple pomace and Australian agricultural waste into bioproducts, with rigorous scientific GHG measurement.
JET Australia actively partners with food processors, agricultural operators and councils across Victoria and beyond — deploying ERS units and expanding the evidence base for Australian conditions.
A multi-cultural, multi-lingual team across Melbourne, Tokyo and Shanghai — deep expertise in environmental engineering, technology transfer, and Australian industry networks.
Environmental technology specialist and APO/ESCAP environmental supervisor. Leads JET Australia’s commercial and research partnerships.
A multi-cultural, multi-lingual team across Melbourne, Tokyo and Shanghai — supporting ERS system design, installation and commissioning across Australia and Asia.
