What types of organic waste can ERS process?

ERS handles a broad range of organic waste streams — food production residuals, agricultural by-products, livestock waste, FOGO municipal collections, and more. It is particularly suited to high-water-content waste that traditional composting or drying systems struggle with.

How long does the ERS processing cycle take?

A standard ERS processing cycle takes approximately 3 hours from waste loading to final output discharge. Units can be operated continuously to handle larger volumes.

What infrastructure does ERS require on-site?

ERS is designed to be self-contained — it requires no drainage infrastructure, no external deodorisation systems, and no waste-water treatment. Units need a standard power connection and sufficient space for the unit and loading equipment.

What is the minimum and maximum capacity?

ERS units are available in capacities ranging from 2 tonnes/day up to 25 tonnes/day. The modular design means multiple units can be combined for higher volumes without significant additional infrastructure.

Is ERS technology approved for use in Australia?

JET Australia is working with Australian regulatory bodies to ensure ERS technology meets all relevant approvals. Our Deakin University partnership is also producing the scientific validation needed for regulatory submissions. Contact us for the latest status relevant to your state and application.

How does ERS help with carbon reporting?

ERS technology diverts organic waste from landfill, which is one of the largest sources of methane (a potent greenhouse gas) in Australia. The Deakin University research program is quantifying the exact GHG reduction per tonne of waste processed, which will support verified carbon accounting for ERS adopters.
